Steps to commission your painting
DISCUSS - We will meet in person or virtually to discuss the commission, production timeline, size, image, price, deposit and you will sign a contract.
DESCRIBE - Give me an idea of what you are looking for in regard to the subject matter, content, style and medium. Which painting "looks" like what you want? Pick 3 - 4 of your favorite paintings from my portfolio or another artist. Do you have reference photos? Are you looking for realism or abstraction? Do you have a color palette in mind? Vertical or horizontal?
DESIGN - Based on your budget and information provided, I will produce a small "rough" study or sketch that suggests the composition, palette (general colors), and subject matter you are looking for.
DEPOSIT - A deposit of half the total budget will be due upon approval of the study in order for the commission to proceed. I begin painting your commission based on our mutual understanding.
COMPLETION - The piece is reviewed for final approval. If there are any adjustments or alterations, they can be attended to before any varnish and framing (if included).
DELIVER - When I finish the work, I can ship it to you. You can also pick the piece up at my studio, if you’re local. Shipping and tax (for MA residents) TBD will be factored for a final invoice and balance due.
SHARE - Celebrate your new acquisition by posting on Instagram @nensipaintings or other social media! #nensipaintings
